That can come in many different forms but ultimately it means making more money with less time input or having to rely on sales commissions as their main source of income.
Hi my name is Pat, founder of The Collectiv Community, thanks for getting to this page!
Firstly, who is community for:
Remote Sales Professional: You work for yourself and love the sales environment and an unwavering confidence in your ability to perform. Because of this you get paid the money you do when you perform (aka commission only).
Your Situation: You’ve made a good career selling other people’s programs, products or services but have realised that your income is ultimately tied to the time and effort you put into it. If you sell, you get paid, if you don’t you get zero.
Control: While there are a lot of things that happen out of your control, being able to rectify it is not a luxury for many sales professionals. Whether it be leads, marketing, direction, when things go wrong there’s often not a lot that can be done by a contracted sales rep.
Desire: The goal for most when getting into remote sales is the ability to earn and have flexibility. While a lot of roles allow this, you’re probably not wanting your income to be reliant on your own sales forever. This is where your desire to explore other options comes from as the gap of the flexibility goal is not yet fulfilled.
Your Future: As you have the emotional intelligence and clear ability to influence people, you often think, is there more that you could or should be doing or achieving. It’s a lingering thought that runs through your mind but something is ultimately stopping you from figuring out how to move onto the next steps of your career.
If that’s you…if that resonates with you, then keep reading...
In 2019, I left a very comfortable corporate role as a Sales Director and Board Member of a finance company with the hope to find a way to earn well while having more time-freedom back in my life.
When I moved into the world of remote, high ticket sales, it was eye-opening and was great. But there was always something in the back of my mind that thought, it’s great to be working for myself, but if I stop selling or if the marketing runs dry or if the owner decides a different path, I’d be stuffed!
No sales, no base, no commissions.
And that’s when I started Setters & Closers, a sales recruitment and sales consulting business. Things were great!
The problem was I kept running into the same feedback from sales people we’d place into roles. And the really good ones felt the same as I described above.
You see, the standard journey for a remote sales professional goes like this:
- Find one or two great offers and crush it while marketing is dialled in
- Something happens to the business and start to explore other opportunities
- End up in the same spot and think hard about what’s the best way to progress
So, by the middle of 2022, I made a conscious decision to change the way I did things with working with clients. I wanted to find a way where it was a better win-win situation.
And that’s where I started to leverage my sales skills and put it to better use.
By the start of 2023, I started creating:
- Revenue share and profit share engagements
- New offers in collaboration with business owners
- Equity deals that would reward my efforts for the long term
But the biggest help in implementing all of this was simple…
I leverage my network of like minded people to help me think on a different level. I invested in programs, but found it nothing like talking and working with others in the trenches on a regular basis.
Conversations were insightful, but the execution became easier. There was something about having small groups of people I could turn to for a conversation and get all that I needed to go and implement next steps.
Finally, after speaking with a lot of sales professionals on a regular basis, they all said the same thing and wanted to have more conversations with like minded, forward and out of the box thinking individuals.
That’s why The Collectiv Community was created:
This community will offer a lot. But it’s not a community where you will have someone else solve your problems for you. It’s a collective effort.
You will be reliant on your peers to give support, clarity and motivate you, but in return, they will expect the same from you.
It’s not a social gathering or conversation, the group will be guided so that interactions and engagement are meaningful. But of course, it will be fun!
There will be a lot of talking points in the community:
- Fractional sales management
- Best time management practices
- Personal branding and marketing
- Tech stack for sales professionals
- Getting rid of roadblocks to your goals
- Personal and professional development
- Creating win-win scenarios with offer owners
- How to partner with others to co-launch offers
- Workshops with leaders from outside sales fields
- Revenue share and profit share splits that make sense
- How to create equity deals and when you shouldn’t do it
- Structuring consulting deals and ongoing passive commissions
- Figuring out what your next step should be based on your skills
And that’s not even the breadth of conversation that will take place. We will cover whatever it is that you need in order to progress and move your life forward.
I genuinely believe that a community will outperform many coaching or mentoring programs out there.
What happens once you’re inside:
- You will have access facilitated monthly meetings in small Round Table Groups
- There will be invites for member only special eventsBe able to view sales opportunities and offers
- You will receive invites to expert workshops
- Access the community chat via Slack
- Invites to pop up open Q&A calls
In short, we will over-deliver
What’s the financial commitment?
It’s an investment of US$1500 per year.
Note: We have no guarantees or any refunds.
You are ultimately responsible for your own results and we are confident that with the community and support, you will be further along than where you were when you first joined.
That’s all the details on The Collectiv Community.
Onboarding is simple - we have a call to make sure you are a good fit for the group. All going well, we can onboard you and welcome you in the community.
I hope to see you there and wish you the very best in your journey!
